Membership Peter Ricketts - Membership
With the Club's membership average age now over 66 it is essential we attract some younger members. With this objective in mind Peter would progress two specific strategies:

Invite those who support the Boxing Night to lunch to see what we do.
Introduce Friends Of Rotary, maybe asking such Friends to join specific Club committees.

Geoff Rouse - Fund Raising
Geoff had yet to consult with his incoming committee members but mentioned:
Charity walk in association with the Surrey Advertiser.
Posibility of Musical Evening by Brian Ireland's daughters.
A repeat of the previously successful Members sponsored walk.

Boxing Gordon Jones - Boxing
Basically the message was to do the same as before, better if possible.
Gordon reiterated the need for full Club support.

Chris Parker - Community Service
No report as Chris is currently abroad on business.

Kathy Victor - International and Foundation
Continue the education of the six students sponsored by the Club Members.
Continue close cooperation with Rotary Club of Arusha.
Investigate some fresh new international projects.

youth Michael Denley - Youth Activities
Seek out a suitable student to sponsor on the RYLA course.
Mock interviews including possibly this year St Peter's in addition to George Abbot.

Peter O'Keefe - Club Service
Peter was aiming for a good and varied programme of social events with the arrangements for the Website, Speakers, ECH, Sports and Almoner continuing as before.

2010/11 Theme Rotary International 2010 - 2011 Theme

The 2010/11 theme is "Building Communities : Bridging Continents."

On it's release earlier this year incoming RI President Ray Klinginsmith explained:

"Rotary is the best in the world at linking people of goodwill around the globe and then gaining their cooperation and support to make the world a much better place."

Thanks to Don Raffin for the report and photograph.
